We were happy to welcome 6 lovely Cambodian teens at our clinic in September last year. These teenagers came to Singapore for a chance to learn new skills – in the hope that they will be able to bring them back to Cambodia and help them improve their way of life.
For some of them, this was their first visit to a dental clinic and they were terrified. We helped them to overcome their initial fears and manage to get their teeth checked and cleaned.
These teenagers would not be in Singapore if not for this dynamic and generous lady called Priscilla. She has single-handedly organised and provided for the entire stay for them. Thankfully, there were also numerous individuals who chipped in to ensure that their stay was a success. This was a once in a lifetime experience for these Cambodian teens and we at Smileworks were very honoured to contribute to a part of their stay in Singapore.
Meet Jay – one of our bravest young patients. He is a special boy whom we have been treating since he was 6. Jay is extremely intelligent, witty and has a wicked sense of humour.
This time, his sister was having her braces put on as he was getting his treatment done. Jay’s mom was more worried for him so she sat in for his session instead. Guess what did Jay say?
“Mom, I don’t need you here. Go be with the vain princess!”
